Self Catering Holiday Cottage in Central Portugal

River Cottage is a two story two bedroom self catering holiday vacation home situated on the edge of the village Trespostos. The garden is not overlooked by any other house.

The main entrance opens onto the spacious fully equiped kitchen with energy efficient appliances including hob, oven, fridge, freezer, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and washing machine.

All pots, pans, crockery, cutlery and kitchen linnen is provided

The spacious lounge dining room has two comfortable sofas, a coffee table, sateliite TV, DVD player and CD player, the dining area has a table and 4 chairs.

A doorway in the corner of the lounge leads to the ground floor bathroom which has a walk in shower, wash hand basin and toilet.

A door in the centre of the lounge leads to the garden terrace and bbq area with table chairs and sun umbrella overlooking fruit trees and woodland.

The master bedroom has a pine double bed, beside tables with lamps, a 3 drawer chest and double wardrobe. If required the room is large enough for an additional single bed. A double window looks onto the garden and woodland.

The second bedroom has a double pine bed, side tables with lamps, a 3 drawer chest and double wardrobe. A double window looks onto the garden and woodlands.

Water for the most part is supplied by a village communal bore hole, municipal water is also available should communal water become unavailable.

The cottage is cleaned and prepared prior to your arrival and after departure. Additional bedding and ample towels are provided. Should you require additional cleaning services during your stay this can be provided at a cost of €40 Euros.

Trespostos is a small hillside hamlet with steep narrow cobbled stone roads. River Cottage is located on the north side of the village and is accessed via a narrow hard surfaced road between two south facing properties. Due to the layout and location this property would not be suitable for the disabled or infirm.

Trespostos is situated centrally between Lisbon and Porto airports, both approximately 2 ½ hours by car and 20 minutes from Pedrógão Grande, a natural lake, ideal for swimming, fishing and scuba diving.

Campelo - only a 3 minute drive which has a cafe bar, small mini mercado, postoffice and popular trout farm/restaurant and a small praia fluvial.

Castanheira de Pera - only a 10 minute drive which has shops, mini supermarkets, bar/cafes, restaurants, chemist, bakery, post office, two banks, medical centre and Praia das Rocas (open air swimming pool with wave machine).

Alge - less than a 5 minute drive, village social club with bar/restaurant and praia fluvial (river beach).

Louçainha -only a 12 minute drive, praia fluvial (river beach) and cafe bar/restaurant.

São João do Deserto - less than a 10 minute drive, lookout point and picnik area with fantastic panoramic views.
